1. Who we are

VOLT is sold by Michael Diener, a sole proprietor in South Africa ("we"). By using VOLT you agree to these terms.

2. What you buy

The free demo at voltapp.co.za is limited. Paying R699 (once-off, VAT not charged unless we register for VAT) gives you a personal licence to use the full VOLT app on one phone, with free updates while we publish them. It is not a subscription.

3. Licence

Your copy is licensed to you only. You may not resell, share, copy or publish it. Copies may be watermarked to the buyer.

4. Payment and delivery

Payments are processed by Yoco. After paying, follow the steps on the "Collect your copy" page. We aim to deliver your copy and licence key within 1 business day.

5. Refunds

If VOLT doesn't work on your phone and we can't fix it, ask within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the ECT Act (including any cooling-off rights that apply) are not limited by these terms.

6. Your data

Your jobs, clients and invoices are stored on your own phone. Back them up — we can't recover data deleted from your device. See our Privacy policy.

7. Professional responsibility

VOLT is a working aid, not a substitute for the SANS 10142-1 standard, your training or your judgement. You are responsible for every test, reading, certificate and invoice you issue. See the SANS disclaimer.

8. Liability

As far as the law allows, VOLT is provided "as is" and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or losses from installations, certificates or advice based on the app.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. South African law applies.
